Sculptor crafting life-size women out of wood.
Nicolas started his artistic path in 2019 in Lisbon with a qualification in ornamental wood carving.
He draws his inspirations from the loss of his twin which happened very early on in life. Intuitively, he seeks to share the beauty he sees around him with his lost twin by breathing life into handmade limewood (Tilia) sculptures.
The medium, wood, revealed itself during his childhood and remained very much evident throughout his life, even before he started woodcarving. Earlier, not documented work include some pieces of a chess game, crucifixes, walking canes and all kind of smaller decorative objects.
